Roller shutters are a curtain of slats that moves vertically, joined together by movable locks. They protect against intrusion by unauthorized persons. The shutter curtain is raised and lowered by a motor housed inside the shaft, and the roller shutter is operated by a switch or a remote control. Automatic motor control is the ideal solution for buildings where all the ground-floor windows are protected by shutters. Automation lets you raise and lower the curtains of all the shutters at once, with a single press of a switch button or remote control. An electric drive is also perfectly suited to operating shutters installed as gates in your garage, thanks to the motor's ability to wind up a curtain weighing up to 50 kg. This type of shutter system is equipped with an emergency opening device for cases when the power supply is interrupted. It is a crank handle 1.5 m long with a hook on the end. The hook is inserted into the loop of the universal joint mounted in the protective box, and turning the handle manually raises and lowers the shutter curtain. Roller shutters protect glass from mechanical damage and have proven themselves as a reliable defense against break-ins. This is a slat made of an extruded single-walled aluminum profile with rectangular openings. A curtain of such slats forms a single, solid metal section with increased strength. An extruded profile has lower sound and heat conductivity than a foam-filled one, so these shutter systems provide poorer protection against outside noise, cold, and sun. On the other hand, they are far more resistant to break-ins and mechanical damage. The extruded РАЕG54 profile is used for openings up to 4000 mm (up to 3700 mm in height), such as gazebos, windows of residential premises, and shops in shopping centers.
