Roller shutters are a curtain of vertically moving slats connected to one another by locks. They provide protection against intrusion by unauthorized persons. Profiles of the PAEG series are used to manufacture roller shutter grilles. The spring-inertia mechanism works by using the energy of a spring wound for torsion, which is located inside the shaft. A distinctive feature of this type of operation is the need to install a bottom lock with keys, since as the curtain lowers it is this lock that locks the shutters by means of bolt plates. Two keys are included. Roller shutters protect glass from mechanical damage and have proven themselves as a reliable guard against break-ins. This is a slat made of an extruded single-wall aluminum profile with rectangular openings. A curtain made of such slats is a single, solid metal section with increased strength. The sound and heat conductivity of the extruded profile is lower than that of the foam-filled type, so such roller shutter systems provide poorer protection against outside noise, frost, and sun. On the other hand, they are far more resistant to break-ins and mechanical damage. The extruded РАЕG54 profile is used for openings up to 4000 mm (and up to 3700 mm in height), such as gazebos, residential windows, stores in shopping centers, and display windows.
