There are only a few weeks left until the New Year, and so we want to delight you with some tasty highlights

These are motors with obstacle-detection features, WiFi control, and a remote control included as standard.

We have always striven to expand our range, adopt the best solutions from global practice, and implement our own developments, drawing on many years of experience in manufacturing and operating roller-shutter systems. This applies not only to design solutions or the technology behind the roller-shutter profile, but also to the automation and electronics.

We now have a new line of motors, all of which come with a radio receiver and are operated with a remote control. Every roller-shutter motor is built to our own specifications and in strict compliance with our technical requirements, and is released under our own brand.

We understand that introducing new technologies improves the convenience of operating roller shutters and enhances the user experience, which is why we are constantly working to modernize Magnita roller-shutter systems and their control methods.

Roller-shutter motors with obstacle detection

One of the new advantages of Magnita roller-shutter motors is the emergency-stop function. It is triggered when an obstacle or resistance to the movement of the shutter curtain is detected, namely:

1. A stop function when resistance occurs in the up direction - for example, when roller shutters freeze in winter, the motor can detect the resistance and stop running to protect the shutters from damage.
2. A stop function when an obstacle occurs in the down direction - the motor detects the resistance and stops running immediately if the shutter curtain touches an obstacle. Neither the obstacle nor the shutter curtain will be damaged.

Which motors feature the emergency-stop function

The ED and EDW series motors have the emergency-stop function. Customers can choose between two obstacle-sensitivity modes, which ensures the sensors trigger perfectly in any conditions and keeps your property intact and undamaged.

Roller-shutter motors with WiFi control and an opening timer

Another interesting novelty is the EDW and EW series motors, which can use WiFi control to configure and operate roller shutters or roller shutter gates. It is very convenient to control all the shutters in your home without getting out of bed, using your smartphone. It also lets you control the shutters even when you are away from home.

Another feature of this automation is the ability to set a timed opening and closing schedule. These settings can also be configured in the motor's app.

Roller-shutter motors with an emergency-opening function

We always recommend installing at least one shutter with an emergency-opening function if you are planning to install automatic roller shutters. This function makes it possible to raise the shutter curtain using a crank handle with a hook even when there is no electricity. Given the current situation in the energy sector, this function is very useful for automatic roller shutters on windows and doors. In the event of a power outage, the emergency-opening function is also a great help to owners of roller shutter gates in the garage.

Adding a radio receiver and a control module can be regarded as an extension of the functionality of our motors with emergency opening. From now on, all RM series motors can be opened either with a remote control or manually with the crank handle.

All motors can be combined with push-button, key, and touch switches to make life and the use of roller-shutter systems as convenient as possible.
