In today's era, technological advancements have simplified and enhanced the safety of our lives. Among the pivotal safety components are protective shutters. And achieving the ease of controlling all shutters with a single touch is facilitated by linking them through group control.

In this article, we aim to share an extensive guide on how to connect group control. To offer a clearer demonstration of the setup process, we've prepared a video for you.

Before commencing installation, ensure you have all the necessary equipment.

What you'll need:

  1. Group Controller AC405-01
  2. Signal receiver from remote AC231-01
  3. Tools for installation

Step 1: Preparation for Installation

Prior to starting the installation, switch off the electricity. Prepare all the components, tools, and instructions provided with your group control system.

Step 2: Mounting the Signal Receiver

To connect the signal receiver, begin by removing the cover and unscrewing the terminals. Power is supplied to the central block with three terminals. Connect the phase and neutral to the first two inputs; the third one will be ground.

The section on the left manages the generation of the control signal, which needs to be connected to the controller via a cable. Connect the black wire to the first input, the brown to the second one, and the blue wire to the fourth one (which is the neutral). The third contact is the ground.

We use cables with specific markings. If your markings differ from ours, carefully ensure the wire colors match accordingly.

Step 3: Connecting the Group Controller Next, take the control wire coming from the receiver and plug it into the section with three contacts on the left.

Insert the wires into the terminals in this order: black, brown, and blue. Secure the bolts on the terminals using a screwdriver. This way, we've established the control circuit between the receiver and the controller.

Power Connection

In the section with three contacts on the right, connect the 220V power cable. The first two terminals represent phase and neutral, while the third one is ground.

Motor Connection Connect the cables from the motors to the controller in this sequence: black, brown, blue, and yellow-green. Black and brown are for control, blue is neutral, and yellow-green is ground.

Step 4: Setup and Testing

Begin by clearing all settings on the receiver. Press the left button on the receiver's casing. The indicator light will flash several times, and when it blinks, release and press it again.

To connect the remote, press this button again and the "up" button on the remote. If the indicator light blinked blue, it's set up correctly.

After connecting, ensure everything is functioning properly. Test shutter control using the remote and confirm they respond correctly to commands.

The option with a keypad switch.

We've also decided to demonstrate how to connect group control for shutters using a keypad switch. The connection scheme is similar to the previous one, except instead of the receiver, we'll connect a mechanical switch.

Take the control wire from the controller (which we connected to the receiver) and connect it to the switch as follows: clamp the brown and black control wires on the sides, connect the phase to the center. Make the neutral common (connect the neutral from the power wire to the neutral wire of the control). Isolate it.

Before turning on, double-check the correctness of the contact connections and refer to our video instructions if needed.

What if I want to connect group control for a larger number of shutters?

If you need to connect more than four protective shutters, we suggest linking the required number of group controllers and combining them into a single chain. To do this, duplicate the control and power on the second controller: connect the terminals on the two controllers using a cable.

Next, connect the shutter motors to the second controller.

Now the signal will simultaneously be sent to all shutters.

Once all components are connected and tested, ensure they are securely fastened and safely installed.

Now that you know how to install group control for protective shutters, all that remains is to order the necessary equipment. Remember, when performing such tasks, it's important to follow instructions and seek professional help if needed.
