The answer lies in the composition of the polymer with which the metal is coated in the polymerization chamber and roller shutter profiles are made directly from this material. Let's look at the differences between the two popular polymer coatings that Magnita can offer.
The first PU/PA coating is expensive and this is exactly the case when you can say: “if it’s expensive, it means it’s good.” What does it consist of? PU/PA this coating is a compound of polyurethane modified with acrylic and polyamide. Polyamide provides excellent UV resistance, while acrylic provides high strength. Has a silky matte surface. Layer thickness within 25 µ. The durability of the material consists of high resistance to corrosion, ultraviolet radiation, abrasion resistance and unsurpassed impact resistance, which is why we produce roller shutter sheets from materials with this coating. In addition, polyurethane is quite resistant to most chemicals that are typical in an industrial atmosphere. Practice has shown that the durability of polyurethane-coated materials is also maintained in difficult marine climate conditions. What is also important is the possibility of profiling and bending without damage; microcracks do not form at the bend site. This coating is more durable than polyester. The service life of such a coating is about 30-50 years. Warranty service life - 15 years.

The second coating is a consumer product. PE is a coating based on polyester, also called polyester. Products with this versatile coating can withstand high temperatures and have a high degree of corrosion resistance. This material is quite durable. In recent years, polyester has been gaining quite a lot of popularity. This was achieved due to its properties such as high resistance to weathering, aesthetics, good color fastness, and plasticity. In addition, due to its good flexibility, the material is easy to mold and is suitable for any climatic conditions. However, the resistance of this coating to mechanical damage is lower than that of PU/PA coating. Service life - 20-30 years. Warranty period - 10 years.

There is one more type of coverage that we can offer. This is the painting of metal with powder paint using an electrostatic sprayer, followed by polymerization in an oven. There are two types of coating: for external use (polyester) and internal (epoxy polyester). This type of coating creates a durable protective layer resembling plastic, resistant to ultraviolet radiation, abrasion, mechanical damage and temperature changes. This surface is resistant to aggressive environments. This type of coating has a wide palette of colors and surface structure from glossy to shagreen. One of the main advantages is the ability to color finished products of any configuration. We use this type of coating for painting protective boxes of roller shutters, guides and bottom slats, curtain rods for blinds up to 6 meters long, as well as for window sills and brackets for fastening blinds.
The service life of such coating is 20 years.
