Many customers ask us to help them adjust the height of the roller shutter leaf. While in the case of security shutters or roller shutters with a manual lifting mechanism, there are usually no issues, in the case of an automated roller shutter system, such difficulties can occur.

When installing a security roller shutter system, the installer selects the right height to make the roller shutter work more efficiently and reliably. Correct adjustment of the end positions is the key to the roller shutter's operation. After all, if the upper position is not adjusted properly, the door leaf can jump out of the guides, or the customer will constantly hit his head on the lower edge of the door leaf. The same applies to the correct setting of the lower position: if it is set too high, there will be a gap through which dust and cold will enter the room, and if it is set too low, the motor will create excessive pressure and may break. 

Earlier, we have already provided instructions on how to adjust the extreme positions of the roller shutter, but today we will look at how to make the necessary settings on the motors of the new line using the remote control.

How to set the top stop position of the roller shutter when lifting

The upper position of the roller shutter should allow you to freely use the space of the room, i.e. the edge of the roller shutter should not touch the car or mobile property. Also, to prevent the roller shutter from slipping out of the guide, one or one and a half slats should be visible under the box.

To do this, take the remote control, turn on the power of the roller shutter system and proceed to the next steps:

• Raise the door to the desired position. To do this, press the up button and press the stop button in the desired position.
• Press the button under the remote control cover. To do this, turn the remote control over and open the back cover on the remote control. There will be a small button there. This is the programming key, you need to press it.
• Press the up key twice. Turn the remote control over and press the up button twice. The motor will make a sound that the settings are accepted and make a short up and down motion.

Setting the lower roller shutter position

In the lower position, the roller shutter should completely cover the entire opening, there should be no gaps. Also, the lamellas should fit snugly against the floor, but not press into it.

To adjust the lower position, follow these steps:

• Lower the blade to the desired position. To do this, press the down button and stop the roller shutter at the desired position with the stop button.
• Press the button under the remote control cover. To do this, turn the remote control over and open the back cover on the remote control. There will be a small button. This is the programming key, you need to press it.
• Press the button twice down. Take the remote control face up and press the up key twice. The engine will make a sound that the settings are accepted and make a short up and down movement.

Testing the settings

After all the settings have been programmed, proceed to testing the settings. We check the operation of the roller shutter system by opening and closing it several times. If nothing prevents you from passing or driving a car in the upper position, and there are no gaps or holes in the lower position, and the motor does not press the fabric into the ground, then you have done everything correctly.
