Dear customer!
This information contains everything you need to correctly measure and order the roller shutters you want.
We recommend reading it carefully!
The measurement procedures described here are our recommendations for standard situations.
- Please specify all dimensions in millimeters.
- The roller shutter dimensions you provide refer to the outer edges of the shutter (width: outer edges of the guide rails; height: from the top edge of the box to the lower edge of the guide rails).
- The side on which the control element will be installed is agreed with the manager.
Please note that we cannot account for all installation conditions. Therefore, your site may require additional fastening elements.
Wall-mounted installation:

Determining the roller shutter width:
Measure the width of the wall opening 3 times (top, middle, bottom) from the outer edge of the facade (see sketch 1.1).
Use the largest value.
Please note that the guide rails must be fastened to a solid base (brick, concrete, etc.)!
If the facade has thermal insulation, discuss this with the manager and take it into account when determining the shutter width and selecting fasteners.
Under certain conditions, the shutter width should be increased and longer screws should be used.
Determining the roller shutter height:
Measure from the outer edge of the facade (see sketch 1.2) to the windowsill 3 times (left, middle, right).
Use the largest dimension.
Example: You want to order a roller shutter and measured the opening height as 2000 mm and width as 1500 mm.
These dimensions must be provided to the manager to calculate the overall dimensions of the roller shutter system.
In this case, we also automatically add the dimensions of the guide rails and the box.
So, for the above opening dimensions of 1500*2000 mm, the shutter itself will be 1606*2180 mm.
Installation inside the opening:

Determining the roller shutter width:
Measure the width of the wall opening at the front and back (see sketch 1.1) in three places (top, middle, bottom).
Use the smallest dimension (so the shutter fits inside the wall opening during installation). To determine the shutter width for the order, take the dimension from the previous step and subtract 5 mm, provided the reveals are level. Example: You measured a width of 1195 mm. Therefore: 1195 mm (wall opening) - 5 mm = 1190 mm = order width.
Determining the roller shutter height:
Measure the height of the wall opening from the top to the windowsill 3 times (left, middle, right), both at the front and at the back, according to sketch 1.2.
Use the smallest dimension (so the shutter fits inside the wall opening during installation) and subtract another 5 mm.
Example: You measured a height of 2005 mm.
Therefore: 2005 mm (wall opening) - 5 mm = 2000 mm = order height.
Example: You want to order a roller shutter and measured the opening height as 2005 mm and width as 1195 mm.
So, for the above opening dimensions, the shutter itself will be 1190*2000 mm.
Based on these measurements, you can already place an order.
The links below also provide installation instructions for the roller shutter system and a cost calculator where you can conveniently choose the configuration and compare prices for different options.
Attention!
Measure the diagonals from the upper left corner to the lower right corner and from the upper right corner to the lower left corner.
All height and width measurements should match. If the left and right diagonals differ by more than 10 mm, this may indicate incorrect opening geometry. In this case, the opening must be aligned before taking measurements again.
Which roller shutter opening option should you choose?
When choosing how the roller shutter opens, focus on convenience and budget. The most commonly used options are listed below:
- Spring-inertia mechanism - the simplest and most affordable option, does not require electricity, and is easy to operate manually. It is most often used when the shutter is planned to open from the outside;
- Cord cassette - a smoother and more controlled option, ideal for daily use on small and medium openings. It is usually used when the shutter is planned to open from inside the room;
- Motor (automation) - the most comfortable solution, allowing roller shutters to be controlled from a remote control, a wall switch, or a smartphone. It is suitable for large structures and provides a modern level of convenience and safety.
