When we talk about safety and comfort in our homes or offices, roller shutters become an important part of the equation. And convenient control over them makes all the difference.

The core element of group control is a universal unit that acts as both the receiver for the remote control signal and the controller for the shutters at the same time.

This unit lets you not only operate a single shutter or split shutters into groups, but also control them all together, giving you maximum comfort.

Step-by-step guide to connecting group control for roller shutters

Step 1: Preparing for installation

Before you begin the installation, switch off the electricity. Prepare all the components, tools, and instructions supplied with your group control system.

Step 2: Connecting the power supply and the motors

To connect the system, first remove the cover and loosen the clamps on the terminals. Power is fed to the unit on the left side, which has three clamps. You need to connect the live and neutral wires to the first two inputs, with the earth going to the third.

Next come four sections for connecting the motors. Each section has 4 contacts. Connect the wires from the motors in the following order: the first contact is the black wire, the second is brown, the third (earth) is yellow-green, and the last (neutral) is blue.

We use motors with wires of a specific colour coding. If your motors differ from ours, carefully check that the marking colours match up.

Step 3: Setting up the control channels

First, let's look at the option where each shutter can be controlled individually, as well as all of them together.

On the top of the board there are four buttons, each responsible for its corresponding motor.

Select the first channel on the remote using the "left" and "right" buttons on the remote.

Press and hold the first button on the board, and when the indicator light starts to blink, press "up" on the remote.

This is how we link control of the first shutter to the first channel on the remote. Repeat this operation for all the shutters.

Once everything is connected, make sure it all works. Test the shutter control using the remote by switching between channels, and check that the shutters respond correctly to the commands.

To operate all the shutters at once, select "CC" on the remote — this is the master channel, no matter how many shutters you have connected.

Creating shutter groups

This receiver also lets you program group control of the shutters — for example 2+2 or 3+1, 1+2+1, and so on.

Let's look at the option of controlling shutters two at a time.

Select the first channel on the remote. Press the first button on the controller board. When the indicator blinks, press "up" on the remote. Then press the second button. After the indicator light signals, press "up" on the remote. This is how we programmed control of two shutters through the first channel.

Assign the third and fourth shutters to the second channel in the same way.

Now we can control groups of two shutters on each channel of the remote.

To operate all the shutters at once, as always, select "CC" on the remote.

Clearing the settings

To clear all the settings on the remote, select the master control channel "CC" and press and hold the "stop" button. The letters on the display should appear three times. Then, using a thin wire or a paperclip, press into the opening on the back of the remote housing.

To delete all the assignments on the controller, press and hold the button of the relevant motor, wait until the light blinks three times, and press the same button once more.

Once all the components are connected and tested, make sure they are firmly fixed and safely installed.
